The College has an average strength of 1000 to 1100 students every year. The average result of the College in Graduation and Post-Graduation level stood above 90%.
A month vise details of various activities of the College are given below:
July-2001 College re-opened and admission started.
Aug-2001 Independence Day was celebrated.
Students Union election was held after a spell of 13 years. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor was the Chief Guest.
Sep-2001 Adult literacy programme and rally was organized by the N.S.S.
Oct-2001 Inter College Youth Festival was held in the College under the University.
Nov-2001 Foundation stone was laid by the Hon. Bishop James Nathon on 09/11/2002 for extension of the Arts Building for M.A. English Lit. Branch.
Dec-2001 X. Mas was celebrated with colorful functions. Gifts were presented to the Staff.
Jan-2002 Republic Day was celebrated. Flag hosting, special meeting and variety entertainment programmes were held.
Feb-2002 Baccalaureate Services were held.
Zillah Leelawati Soule memorial Scholarship, Lucile Colony scholarship, Vasantika Amolik Shiel, A.B. Prasad Trophy etc was awarded to 12 students of the college for their highest academic achievement.
Mar-2002 University Exams started.
It worth a special mention here that Hawabagh
Women’s College is one of the College in the State of Madhya Pradesh to receive
a grant from the UGC, to purchase and install a Multi Gym Equipment in the
Gymnes Hall. The Multi Gym equipment was commissioned by the Hon. Bishop James
Nath-an on 9th Feb 2002 in the presence of students, faculty members,
members of the ministry, friends and well-wishers of the College.
UGC Grant:
Hawabagh Women’s College is the only college in the State of Madhya Pradesh to receive the approval of the UGC to run the Communicative English in the course of studies of the Bachelor of Arts in the year 2001. Necessary grant to this effect was allotted by the UGC.
College Library:
The College has well established and spacious library to accommodate maximum number of students and staff at a time. More than 18000 books, periodicals and journals purchased out of the grants from the UGC.
College Canteen
H.W.C. canteen is an informal meeting ground for teachers and students where they can share, interact and understand each other with bread and water.
Counseling Cell
Counceling is provided to the students to ease out their tension, if any and also to choose the right career depending upon the capacity and ability of the individual.
Seminars & Symposia
They act as capitalists for the students and teachers by adding colour and flavour to the condiments of the intellect hence are indispensable attributes of erudition and are constantly promoted by the administration of the college.
Alumni Association
Hawabagh Alumni Association is spreading its wings to seek support from all those who are willing to connect and help the institution grow and prosper.
